To me this quote means that you can't give up on what you love. Michael Jordan loves the game of basketball the time and effort he put in the game was shown throughout his career. So when a person mess up in life they shouldn't give up. A person should always have enough confidence to continue to do what they love even through the mess up that they might encounter.
